The Fayette County Reagan Republicans had the privilege of hosting State Representatives Ryan Warner and Charity Grimm Krupa and State Senator Pat Stefano at their meeting Thursday evening at the Uniontown Hilton Garden Inn. The meeting opened with a word of prayer by Pastor Mark Scott followed by our Pledge of Allegiance.
Senator Pat Stefano, PA 32 District, shared with the audience the importance of passing legislation that attracts business and employment. Our sitting Democrat Governor, Josh Shapiro, favors tax and spend legislation that has forced businesses to leave Pennsylvania to neighboring business friendly states. It is important for the Senate to hold the line on Democrat tax and spend initiatives and for we the people to elect conservative candidates that are fiscally responsible.
State Rep. Charity Grimm Krupa, 51st District, shared with the audience that the balance of power to pass conservative legislation is very narrow. Currently Pennsylvania has 203 Representatives with Republicans holding the minority of seats of 101 with each representing approximately 64,000 people. She shared the importance of protecting citizens constitutional rights and how the democrat party continues to take advantage of people by passing tax and spend legislation that gives them more power and control over we the people.
State Rep. Ryan Warner, 50th District, shared with the audience that pending conservative bills that protect families, such as Right to Know(death penalty for child rape) and America First (legislation that would eliminate property tax), do not stand a chance to become law unless we can take back the House.
Both Representatives shared the importance of voting for incumbents this November so that we do not risk losing one seat.
Patrick Santorum, Political Director for US Senate Candidate Dave McCormick, shared with the group the importance of Fayette County in this next election.
Our local county officials also had the opportunity to share with the group how they are working for “we the people”. Officials who spoke were Dave Lohr, Commissioner; Scott Dunn, Commissioner; Mike Aubele, District Attorney.
Fayette County Reagan Republican Board members attorney Gary Altman and Russ Rhodes also shared with the group the importance of supporting Republican candidates because the balance of power is very narrow.
Drew Hearn, Chairman of the Young Republicans of Somerset County, shared with the group the work they are doing knocking on doors in Democrat registered areas and educating citizens to the importance of voting for conservative candidates who are dedicated to protecting our constitution.
The Fayette County Reagan Republicans support and vote for Republican Candidates and this should be the desire of any conservative. We provide a platform for candidates to speak and share why they should be elected to serve we the people. Candidates have worked hard through the primary election. It is now time for us to vote for them as public servants.
Please encourage your family, neighbors, and friends to vote!
Our next meeting is Thursday October 17th at 7 PM at the Uniontown Hilton Garden Inn
